Three people are dead and one person is in critical condition after an overdose in New Rochelle Saturday afternoon, police said.
New Rochelle police received a call around 2:45 p.m. by a man who reported that he and three other unresponsive men with them were possibly overdosing on drugs, police said in a statement.
The caller was “disoriented” and unable to tell police where he was at the time, officers said.
Dispatchers were able to ping the man’s cellphone and located him at 50 Fountain Place.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the caller and three others unresponsive in a storage room at the back of the building, police said.
The three men were pronounced dead at the scene. The caller was taken by EMS to an area hospital in critical condition, according to police.
The names of the caller and the deceased are being withheld pending family notification, officers said.
