Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a controversial TV personality and politician, is known for creating news for all the wrong reasons.
The 49-year-old, known for his tumultuous marriages, fell in yet another controversy when his third wife, Syeda Dania Shah, 18, filed for divorce from the former PTI politician.
Dania unfollowed her husband from the photo-sharing platform Instagram shortly after making serious allegations against him.
In a recent social media post, the Sindh-based politician complimented his prior wives’ “dignified demeanor” in a recent social media post, stating they did not “destroy his honor.” He mentioned that Bushra and Tooba first removed his name from their names and then sought a divorce later.
The televangelist mocked Shah by calling his underage wife “brave” for getting a divorce at 15. He wrote, “Now I unfollow you.”
Shah approached the court for divorce three months after the wedding. The teen wife of the morning show host accused him of physical violence and recording intimate videos.
Shah claimed that the Aalim Online host is a drug addict with a poor reputation. She filed a claim for marriage annulment and sought Rs100,000 in monthly personal expenses. She has also claimed more than Rs100 million in Haq Mehr (alimony) and other promises made by Aamir Liaquat during their marriage.
Dania stated in the petition that Aamir is not who he appears to be. According to her, the first four months of her marriage were torturous. Dania said in her khula that Liaquat shoots intimate videos and is unsuitable for marriage.
Aamir also addressed Dania’s charges. “I urge you to give me a test. It will be clear whether I drink alcohol or not. I have never been addicted to ice, but now I am just releasing such a horrible fact. He replied, “Wait, Dania should get medical treatment and then wait for what I’m releasing.”
