Sarah Heron and fiancé Dylan Brown are heartbroken beyond comprehension after the death of their newborn son.
The former “Bachelor” star announced the devastating news on her Instagram on Wednesday, saying “there are no words for the amount of loss and pain we are experiencing.”
“On January 28th, at 24 weeks, our beautiful son Oliver Brown was born. He died in his dad’s arms shortly after,” the 36-year-old wrote next to a series of photos from her pregnancy.
“Oliver, the miracle of IVF defied so many odds and fought through so many tough milestones for us to be here, but the higher powers had other plans for the three of us.”

Despite the heartbreak, Heron went on to note that the little one taught them about the “integrity of life, love and death.”
“Oliver filled our home and our hearts with so much love and most importantly, optimism. The stars aligned to create Baby Oliver with a deep, meaningful purpose greater than we will ever understand. His body was small, but his legacy will always be larger than life to us.”
The “Bachelor in Paradise” alum explained that he will always cherish the memories of swimming with sea turtles while pregnant, feeling Oliver’s support as he worked through an injury and, most importantly, all the time he spent “heart with heart” with their dog, Rio.
“While our hearts are broken beyond comprehension, we take comfort in knowing that our son’s soul has only known love and will not suffer in a body that was not built for this life,” he continued.
“We will never understand the cruelty of it all, but in the darkness, Oliver remains so bright. We love you so much baby boy. You will never be replaced. You are so perfect and wonderful. Love Mom and Dad.”
Dozens of “Bachelor Nation” alumni rushed to send their condolences to Herron and Brown in the comments section.
“God bless you all Sarah. We love you ❤️,” former host Chris Harrison wrote.
“Sending your family all love and support. So sorry for your loss❤️,” said “Bachelorette” star Katie Thurston.
“Oliver you are so loved ❤️ Sarah you are the most amazing mother and your strength through it all to fight so hard for your son was nothing short of beautiful to see 🙏🏼,” Clare Crowley added.
Heron and Brown, who got engaged in May 2021, announced they were expecting in September after IVF.
