She appeared stands and walks non-stop Tuesday as she grabbed the arm of her boyfriend, 80-year-old talent manager Jerry Schilling. In the middle of the interview with Bush, he told her on the plus one: “I’m going to hold your hand.”

“She was very uneven in her balance” Bush, 51, told Fox LA. “The speech was very slow. And sure enough, when the interview was over, I turned to my producer next to me and said, “Something’s not right here.”

“He was knowledgeable. She was definitely with it, just a second late. But it was there. It was definitely there, but a little further away in a way,” Bush added.

For interviews, the A-listers had to walk up two steps to the podium where Bush stood, but Presley, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, struggled to get them up.

“It was clear that he would not come on the two flights. I went down and met her on the carpet itself,” he recalled to Fox LA.

While the TV personality noticed that “something” was going on at the time, she said she never expected Presley to die. Bush pondered the possibility of “history repeating itself,” calling the ordeal “very sad.”

“Of course, you’re thinking, yes, history is repeating itself? Is this another situation like this?’ Bush continued on Fox LA, noting that Elvis died at 42 after heart problems. “It seems likely, I can’t say for sure that this is the case.”

Hollywood legend says the Presley family may be “cursed” because Elvis’ maternal grandparents were first cousins. Elvis’ own mother, Gladys, died of heart failure at age 46, while some of her siblings also died in their 40s.

Bush said he noticed someone was “special” to Presley after interviewing her on Tuesday.
