Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi inaugurated Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem Portal at Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Thursday.
The CM approved that Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem Portal will be powered by artificial intelligence based technology. The portal will detect fake material related to Quran Kareem available on the websites. Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem Portal will issue warnings regarding negative material related to Quran on the websites to Quran Council and concerned institutions.
The portal will also issue notices to the institutions concerned to block the controversial material and take strict action against those involved in uploading such material. The CM stated that through the Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem portal the websites of those involved in reprehensible activities will be blocked. Registration and monitoring of publishers and e-publishers will also be done with the help of this system.
The CM, while talking to the media persons, said that the Punjab government has taken a landmark step by setting up the Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem Portal and also to check disrespect of Quran-e-Kareem or making changes. PITB has developed a software in collaboration with the Quranic Board which will issue an instant notification on the publication of a change in the name of Khatamun Nabiyeen (SAW) or a change in the Ayat or translation of the Holy Quran.
The CM acknowledged that the Quran Council, Ulema-e-Karam and PITB had done a wonderful work in a short span of two months. He praised that Dr. Arslan Khalid, Faisal Yousaf and his team have rendered a great service to the religion by creating the Hurmat-e-Quran Kareem Portal. The CM while answering a media question stated that Imran Khan is an honest and straightforward leader adding that Imran Khan is the only leader after Quaid-e-Azam who does not tell lies. Imran Khan has the spirit to serve the masses while the Sharifs start lying after they get up in the morning. Sharif and Rana Sanaullah continue to lie late into the night. We have to make our own leader of the opposition and we will join Raja Riaz. Raja Riaz himself should be ashamed and resign as Leader of the Opposition.
CM Pervaiz Elahi said PML-N leaders should be asked about Nawaz Sharif’s return. He approved that a second tower will be created with the Arfa Kareem Tower also a twin tower. The CM complained that everyone focused on minting money and no one thought of exporting software. He said that if Bangladesh can earn billions of dollars by exporting software, then why can’t we?
Meanwhile, Pervaiz Elahi launched a province-wide vaccination campaign to prevent a possible second wave of nodular skin disease and inspected the vaccination used in this effort.
Six million doses will be given to farmers at no cost and directly to their homes. The government has given 1.5 billion rupees for this effort, the chief minister noted, adding that Punjab has procured the vaccine at a more economical cost compared to other provinces. With more than 25 million cattle and 28.4 million buffaloes in the province, the chief minister highlighted the vital role livestock plays in the economy, contributing 14.1% to the national GDP and 63% to the agricultural sector, with 37% of of the village’s income to come from animal husbandry.
Meanwhile, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) Chairman Qaiser Iqbal Baryar, Saleem Baryar and Ahsan Saleem Baryar called on Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at his office and discussed matters of mutual interest and exploitation of investment opportunities in the province.
