Faculty Goes on Strike Against Immoral Activities in COMSATS University

On the Abbottabad campus of COMSATS University, classes have been put on hold after students, faculty, and administration staff said they would go on strike because of immoral activities in the faculty hostel.

Details show that Tahir Ali Shah, who is in charge of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), had booked a room at the Foreign Faculty Hostel for a few days in the past.

Protesters say that the HEC Director stayed in the room with a woman who wasn’t his wife and encouraged immoral behavior at the university.

They said that the university had become a dangerous place for female students, faculty, and staff because of the activities that were being promoted there.

When asked about this, COMSATS Abbottabad’s Media Manager, Sardar Naseer Ahmed, confirmed that the university has set up an inquiry committee to look into what happened and told it to report back as soon as possible.

Dr. Arshad Mehmood, Dr. Shakir Hafeez, Dr. Nauman Tareen, Syed Fida Hussain, Muhammad Shaukat, Naeem Ahmed, Ehtisham Gul, and Adam Zahoor are all senior faculty members who are on the committee.
