Here are the picks for Saturday’s NFL wild card games. Landlord at CAPS.
49ERS (-9.5) over Seahawks
This clearly seems like the warm-up appetizer for the day’s pigskin activities, though the Niners’ roster of quarterbacks appears to be the worst.
San Fran seems to be getting through it with minimal bruising in life and limb as the 49ers look to peak as the games become fewer.
The Seahawks will have to be in great shape to come close to an upset, in the end, unless the tailgate swings wide open… which is possible, though not likely.
Chargers (-2.5) over JAGUARS
With Trevor Lawrence and his toe issues keeping him from peak form — and with the top Jax wideouts struggling with substantial battle wounds — it’s hard to find reasons to root for the Jags given this small plus number (even factoring in their home-field advantage ) until they gain further experience at this level in the postseason.
Normal Charger form should suffice, for now, as the two sides’ relative exposure to gritty NFL life favors the Bolts.
