The yearly matriculation examination is now being held by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Lahore. The final paper on Mathematics was leaked at an examination center due to the negligence of BISE Lahore.
According to sources, the class 10 English paper was planned for today. However, the invigilating personnel handed the Mathematics question paper to the pupils rather than the English question paper. The last Mathematics paper was initially planned for May 14th.
BISE Lahore acted quickly once the invigilating personnel reported the problem. BISE Lahore also organized the English question paper on short notice, and the form began nearly an hour late.
On the other hand, students and parents have voiced severe concerns about BISE Lahore’s ability to administer yearly examinations transparently.
Meanwhile, the Higher Education Department (HED) of Punjab has taken note of BISE Lahore’s inaccuracy. Secretary HED Punjab has also requested a report from Chairman BISE Lahore in this respect.
Secretary HED Punjab has promised a transparent investigation, and strong departmental action against anyone found to be guilty of major negligence.
