An iPhone user made a simple mistake that cost him a lot of money in cryptocurrency in just a few seconds.
When Domenic Iacovone talked about how he had all of his Non-fungible tokens in a digital wallet, it turned out to be a huge mistake!
The scammers used the iCloud hack to get into his digital wallet and get his money. The assets were wiped clean off of the ground.
It all started when someone called, Domenic Iacovone said in a tweet.
“This is how it happened, (I) got a phone call from Apple, literally from Apple (on my caller Id) called it back because I suspected fraud and it was an apple number. So, I believed them. They asked for a code that was sent to my phone and two seconds later my entire MetaMask was wiped.”

The crypto investor said that the scammer claimed to be an Apple tech team member and told him that his account had been hacked.
As he said, they also got his 12-word security “seed phrase,” which is given by MetaMask. He didn’t know that it kept the seed phrase file on iCloud by itself.
A question he had for MetaMask was asked. They sent a lot of tweets back.
