Men fight over skinny lattes at Pret a Manger cafe

Customers came for coffee but left with some hot tea.

Patrons at a Pret a Manger franchise in London got more than they bargained for when a fight over a skinny latte turned physical.

Two grown men were seen arguing over the low-fat drink at the cafeteria counter before taking their argument outside.

The incident was captured by an eyewitness who uploaded the altercation to TikTok, where it quickly went viral, racking up more than 1.9 million views.

The clip now appears to have been deleted, but the fight reportedly started after the pair were “arguing over whose ready-to-eat skinny latte”.

Once outside, one of the men appeared to agree to a truce, walking off on his own.

However, the other then threw a drink in his direction, prompting him to turn around and engage in a fight.

Despite the physical aspect of the incident, some viewers found humor in the viral TikTok clip, according to the Daily Mail.

“With respect at least they threw it away [the drink] out,” wrote one. “Staff don’t have to worry about the mess.”

Another claimed it appeared to be the skinny latte hurled during the altercation, meaning both men ended up without the drink.

“Now nobody has a skinny latte,” said the viewer.

However, another chimed in, declaring: “The race gave them a better morning boost than the coffee itself.”

Skinny fans of the latter aren’t the only ones caught on camera fighting over fizzy drinks in recent months.

In August of last year, an adult was seen assaulting a teenager outside a cafe in Valencia, California.

Police were called to the scene after the teenager was pinned to the ground by the angry adult.
