Naomi Judd died of self-inflicted firearm wound, Ashley Judd reveals

Ashley Judd and her family wanted everyone to know how Naomi Judd died.

The younger Judd appeared on “Good Morning America” on Thursday in an interview with Diane Sawyer. She stated that her family had decided that she should tell the cause of her mother’s death.
Ashley Judd stated, “She used a weapon.” “It’s a firearm.” So that’s the piece of information we’re hesitant to provide.”

On April 30, she and her sister Wynonna Judd revealed the death of their mother “to the affliction of mental illness.” She was 76 years old.

Ashley Judd and her family claimed they wanted to raise awareness about mental illness because it is “essential to distinguish between the loved one and the sickness.”
According to Judd, the family reluctantly disclosed the reason for death before it became public in another way.

She also said that she was the one who discovered her mother, who had been open about her depression battle after it occurred.

“I have both sadness and pain from discovering her,” said Judd, who opened the conversation by thanking everyone for their support in the aftermath of their loss.

The matriarch passed on the day before she and her daughter Wynonna were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as The Judds.

According to Ashley Judd, her mother “couldn’t hang on” to be acknowledged by her peers.

“That was the depth of disaster of what was going on inside her,” Judd explained. “Because the barrier between the esteem with which they held her and the falsehood the sickness told her was so convincing.”
The Judd sisters attended the service to pay tribute to their mother.
