Pierce and James frequently clashed in the NBA Playoffs while James was with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Celtics will host the Bucks in Game 7 on Sunday in terms of the current series.
The winner of the game advances to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they will meet the Miami Heat in Games 1 and 2 in Florida.
The Bucks are the third seed in the East, and they won the NBA Championship last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first title.
Meanwhile, the Celtics are the East’s second seed, and they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs last season.
