Proton X70 Facelift is Coming Soon

Proton X70 Facelift is Coming Soon

In China, Geely has introduced marginally revised variants of the Boyue SUV. The Proton X70 is a rebadged Geely Boyue, which means that an X70 makeover is on the way.

A redesigned front face with an accentuated snout, a big slatted grille, sharper headlamps, and a slightly altered front bumper are all part of the facelift. Only the alloy wheel design is altered on the side, but the rest of the SUV appears to be the same.

The engine for the Chinese market is a turbocharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 184 horsepower (hp) and 300 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque and delivers power to the front wheels alone or all four wheels (depending on the variation) via a 7-speed DCT automated transmission.

In China, the new Boyue will start at Rs. 4.4 million and go up to Rs. 4.8 million, which is significantly less than the price of the Proton X70 in Pakistan. However, it should be noted that Pakistan imports X70 CKD kits from Malaysia and assembles them locally, resulting in higher prices due to additional transportation and other operational costs.

Proton has yet to update the X70 for Malaysia, implying that the facelift would arrive in Malaysia first and in Pakistan later.
