Steven Moffat fans have an exciting few months ahead, with his fascinating new David Tennant-starring thriller Inside Man slated to premiere on BBC One later in 2022.
Before that, his brand new adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s hit novel The Time Traveler’s Wife, starring Theo James and Rose Leslie, will premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW (and HBO in the US).
The action takes place across several periods, but we have all the information you need if you’re curious about where the program was shot.
The Time Traveler’s Wife’s location
The series was filmed primarily in New York City, with a few weeks in Chicago thrown in for good measure, from May 2021 to October 2021.
According to The Journal News, certain sequences were also shot in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York, including some winter scenes shot with fake snow in July. The article also claims that numerous additional areas in New York state were utilized.
Manhattanville College in Purchase, the hamlet of Pleasantville, and Rockwood State Park in Mount Pleasant are among them.
Meanwhile, The Brooklyn Museum was utilized for several shots, according to Screen It. At the same time, Backstage adds Third Avenue, Bruckner Boulevard, East 134 Street, and Lincoln Avenue in the Bronx as further shooting sites.
Clare’s family’s home was based on a private mansion in upstate New York.
