It’s corn!
A semi truck carrying 40,000 pounds of corn overturned Thursday night on a Wisconsin interstate, shutting down all southbound lanes.
Wisconsin authorities notified the public at 8:52 p.m. local time to use caution if traveling on Interstate 41 as the truck blocked multiple lanes of traffic.
“TRAFFIC ALERT: Please use caution in the area of S/B I-41 @ Florist Ave., where an overturned semi hauling 40,000 pounds of corn is blocking lanes 2 and 3,” the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office he said.
An update more than an hour after the initial alert noted that all southbound lanes were closed as cleanup crews tried to clean up the wreck.
Interstate 41 connects Milwaukee to Green Bay traveling west of Lake Winnebago.

The unknown driver of the tractor-trailer was slightly injured in the collision. There were no reports of corn spilling onto the roadway.
The cause of the turnover is not known as the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
Thursday’s truck rollover comes a day after a tractor-trailer went over a guardrail on Interstate 287 in Westchester County, New York, killing the driver.
Last Saturday, strong winds blew over a semi truck on the Golden Gate Bridge, forcing authorities to close both sides of the iconic California landmark to clean up the crash.
In early December, another truck in California went over an overpass and landed in a separate crash.
