Twinkle, 47, shared the news with her friends “Hurrah, I’m so excited! Applause Entertainment, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Mrs. Funnybones Movies work together to make a movie based on my short story, “Salaam Noni Appa.” In this movie, I work with some of my best friends, like @tanuj.garg @sameern @atulkasbekar and @agracadabra, a top adman.”

Khanna wrote the Legend of Lakshmi Prasad in 2016. It’s a collection of four stories about feminism written in 2016.

She went on to say: “This book is based on my grandmother and her sister, but it’s not entirely based on them. My Nani saw it when it was made into a play by @lilletedubeyofficial. I’m sure she would have been happy to see it made into a movie.”

Sonal Dabral will direct the new movie.
