Steven Hicks, 18

Richard Hicks, Steven’s father, characterized his son as a very caring guy, recounting an example from a hunting trip in which Steven shot a rabbit and “was as proud as he could be, and then he bawled his eyes out.”

Hicks had just graduated from high school in Coventry Township, Ohio. He was hitchhiking to a rock event about 25 miles away in Chippewa Lake Park, Ohio, when Dahmer picked him up and drove him back to his parents’ house.

Hicks was last seen on June 18, 1978, but his body was not located until 1991 after Dahmer admitted to killing him.

Steven Tuomi, 28

Steven Tuomi grew up in Ontonagon, Michigan, and worked as a short-order cook in a Milwaukee restaurant.

His classmates described him as shy but artistic.

“I was in art class with him, and he constructed a wonderful lead stained-glass lamp that I always remember,” Priscilla Marley Chynoweth said. “It was breathtaking. I recall him being able to do almost anything artistically.”

He is the sole Milwaukee murder victim for whom Dahmer was not charged due to a lack of evidence; Dahmer does not recollect details but believes he killed Tuomi at the Ambassador Hotel.

Tuomi’s father, Walter, claimed Milwaukee police initially told him they couldn’t do anything since there was no evidence of foul play. Tuomi had last been spotted on September 15, 1987.

Jamie Doxtator, 14

Jamie Doxtator was nearly 6 feet tall for his age. He was half Stockbridge and half Oneida, and he enjoyed playing pool and riding his bike.

He was the oldest of four children, and his mother lived in Tampa, Florida.

“One of my son’s favorite Bible verses was ‘Forgive them because they know not what they do,'” Debbie Vega explained. “I will never have that feeling towards Dahmer.” He sits there quietly explaining everything he did. He was well aware of what he was doing.”

Doxtator had last been seen on January 16, 1988.

Richard Guerrero, 25

Richard Guerrero was born into a Mexican household. When he went missing in March 1988, his sister, Janie Hagen, feared he was dead.

“If he wanted things to be that, he would have contacted my mother and told her everything was OK instead of leaving us in the dark like that, with my mother praying to God every day that the good lord will give her son home.”
