Friday was the final episode of the show’s annual Teen Week.

Among the three contestants was an 11th grader from Atwater, California named Francesca, who turned red during the player interviews.

Addressing the young lady, Pat, 76, ended his conversation by asking “What was the first word you said as a child?”

Francesca awkwardly replied, “Danger,” referring to the sister show.

As the audience laughed, Pat took it back.

After a few tense moments, he joked, “Well, we forgive you.”

HIT ON THE BACK

Pat seemed to be in a particularly lenient mood in the last episode, as later in the same show he gave contestant Ross some leniency while tripping over a puzzle.

The 10th grader from Ohio was ready to solve the category: “Phrase.”

Ross got “This is so exciting” right, but he got the puzzle wrong the first time, according to critical fans online.

“This is exciting. This is so exciting!” hi announced.

Pat allowed it, even though the host classically says before puzzles: “Say everything, add nothing, go ahead.”

The host turned to the camera after allowing it and said, “If a player goes to the wrong track, they just have to go back,” he began awkwardly.

“And finish when they pass it again it’s good!”

However, some viewers at home were not so apologetic.

“Yeah, he originally caught the puzzle phrase,” said one person on YouTube. “He shouldn’t have had a second chance to make amends.”

“Yeah I thought Pat always says we have to get what you say first,” wrote another.

A third shouted: “I couldn’t believe they let him have the puzzle. They never give it away when they mess up the answer. First time I’ve seen them do that.”

Ross won the game and won $30K.

GAME APPEARANCE

Wheel of Fortune and Danger! they often engage in good-natured rivalry.

Danger last December! Host Ken Jennings threw shade at his rival in a rare behind-the-scenes video of the iconic game show.

Addressing the audience during a break, Ken told the crowd, “We love having you here. Jeopardy! Fans, I guess. Anyone here enjoys Jeopardy!”

As the audience cheered, Ken followed: “Who prefers the Wheel?”

Ken burst out laughing as a fan appeared to raise his hand.

“A brave man back!” Ken commented, before adding, “Well, you’re in the wrong scene, man.”

Ken concluded, “But thank you for putting up with our little show as well.”
