Yammy B is an ex-criminal who was known for violently robbing drug dealers to help his opioid addiction.

He was born to an Indian father and a Welsh mother and grew up in East London.

He had a difficult upbringing, being placed in foster care at the age of two and then moved into permanent care at the age of 10 due to his father’s ill health.

Involved in criminal activity from a young age, he was sentenced to six months at Stanford House Juvenile Remand Center when he was 13 for ABH to a staff member at his children’s home.

His real name is Samson Bee.

He was nicknamed Yammy B as in patois, Yam something is to take or eat, which he suggested was essentially what he was doing in relation to Class A drugs.

How long was Yammy B in jail?

In total, he spent 43 years in various prisons across the UK.

He once received a royal warrant from Queen Elizabeth II after saving a female prison officer who was attacked by a fellow inmate.

He ended up knocking 290 days off his sentence.

What did Yammy B say?

After spending more than 40 years in prison, Bee says he has now changed and become a more spiritual person.
